COMBYPACK Automatic Tray Forming & Product Loading System
The loading module is equipped with a robotic pick-and-place system that picks a complete collated group of incoming cups and transfers it into the prepared tray. The end-of-arm tooling is designed according to the specific characteristics of the product and can use vacuum suction cups or mechanical grippers for safe and reliable handling.
COMBYPACK configurations:- Separate modules – tray forming and loading are performed by two individual modules connected by an appropriate conveyor.
- Compact version – the tray former and loading module are integrated into a single machine housing.
- Integrated version – the COMBYPACK system is integrated directly with the primary packaging machine. In this configuration, the pick-and-place module picks the cups directly from the nests at the filling machine discharge and places them into the formed tray.
COMBYPACK is available in single-format or multi-format configurations. The multi-format version uses exchangeable format tooling to accommodate different product and tray sizes.
Format changeover can be implemented on either one or both modules. The combined servo-pneumatic version provides an optimized solution with a capacity of up to 22 trays per minute, depending on the required cup loading pattern.
A high-speed full-servo version is also available, with a capacity of up to 40 trays per minute. All main motion functions are servo-driven for precise and reliable operation.
