THE CHALLENGE
Before the Machinex solution, five operators were required for the packaging process. Eko Milk also required a more precise and structurally stable tray, lower cardboard consumption and an open packaging design that would present the feta cheese products clearly and attractively.
THE SOLUTION
Machinex supplied an automated wrap-around open-tray packaging machine for feta cheese. The system groups six products per tray and forms the cardboard package around them at a speed of 17 trays per minute. The optimized tray design uses less cardboard while providing precise geometry, strong construction and excellent product visibility.

The open-tray concept does more than reduce material usage. It securely groups the feta cheese products while keeping them clearly visible, combining efficient secondary packaging with strong shelf presentation. Precise machine forming also creates a consistent, sturdy tray suitable for handling, transport and display.
